Christian History is all about faithful people who have done great things for God. By investigating some of the major events in Christian (and world) history, this course identifies some of the important ideas and forces that have shaped Christianity over the past 2,000 years and surveys some of the prominent people involved in those changes.
Key people studies during the Christian History course include Augustine, Gregory the Great, Hildegard of Bingen, Catherine of Siena, Martin Luther, John Wesley, Jonathan Edwards, C. S. Lewis and Billy Graham.
At the completion of this paper you will have a fuller appreciation of the many and varied expressions of Christianity across the world. In addition, you'll. have a greater awareness of the dynamic ways in which the Christian Church has impacted our world, as well as the ways in which the world has influenced the Church. Hopefully, as a result of what you learn within the course, you will have a better understanding of why some things are the way they are, both in the Church and the world.
Ultimately, the main focus of the course is for you to be inspired by some of the influential men and women in the past and to get an understanding of why they did what they did at the time. You will notice how many famous writers, activists, teachers, leaders and revolutionaries were encouraged and challenged by their Christian faith. This is our prayer for you too, as you faithfully trust Christ every day.

For while the history of Christianity is by turns violent, inspiring, shocking, tragic, comic, or just plain bizarre, it is certainly never dull.
